Arjun Tree (Terminalia arjuna) is a large medicinal and timber tree from the Combretaceae family, native to the Indian subcontinent and adjoining South Asian regions. Raised from these Terminalia arjuna seeds, it grows into a large evergreen/semi-evergreen tree reaching about 60–80 ft / 18–24 m with a broad, spreading, dense canopy and a spread of about 30–50 ft / 9–15 m. These are Arjun Tree (Terminalia arjuna) seeds suitable for tree cultivation, medicinal gardens, landscaping, agroforestry and plantation purposes.

Each pack contains 10 seeds with a germination rate of about 50–70% under suitable conditions, and seedlings typically emerge in approximately 15–45 days. Rated moderate to raise from seed, Arjun Tree (Terminalia arjuna) responds best when you use mature seeds, soak before sowing if required, sow shallowly, maintain warmth and moisture, and avoid waterlogging. Start seeds in nursery trays or Geo Fabric Circular Grow Bags filled with a light, well-draining mix, then shift healthy seedlings to a spot with full sunlight to partial shade and deep, well-drained loamy, sandy-loam, alluvial and fertile soils (pH Approximately 6.0–8.0). A Small Stainless Steel Trowel makes lifting and transplanting young seedlings easy without disturbing the roots.

The ideal sowing window in India is February–August, during the spring to monsoon window, when warm 20–40°C temperatures support quick, even germination. Arjun Tree (Terminalia arjuna) suits urban planting, avenue and roadside planting, agroforestry and farm and boundary planting across tropical moist, tropical dry, subtropical and semi-arid zones with adequate moisture. Traditionally valued in Ayurveda; bark is widely used in traditional preparations, particularly in cardiovascular wellness formulations. Timber value is rated moderate to high. Planning a mixed green belt? Pair it with our Harad Seeds (Haritaki / Terminalia chebula) for a varied, resilient planting.

Beyond its practical value, Arjun Tree (Terminalia arjuna) provides shade, habitat, biomass and contributes to riverbank and soil stabilization, has carbon sequestration potential rated high due to large mature size and substantial woody biomass, and provides shelter and food resources for insects, birds and other wildlife. Growing from seed is the most economical way to establish several saplings at once, and it lets the young tree adapt to your local soil and climate from day one — ideal for home gardeners, farm owners, schools, CSR plantation drives and landscape projects.

How to Grow Arjun Tree (Terminalia arjuna) from Seed
